Security Paper

Is a paper used in printing that incorporates features that can be used to identify or authenticate a document as original, watermarks or invisible fibers in paper, or features that demonstrate tamper evidence when fraud is attempted,  to remove or alter print such as amounts or signatures on a cheque. Examples of this kind of papers are those used for identification such as passports and certificates, such as birth certificates and different types of academic and qualification certificates, as well as government documents,  voting ballots and tax strips.

Type Of Security Paper

Hidden Message Technology,  is the most common and least dependable security feature. Words place into document such as void and unauthorized copy should appear when a document is copied. However due to changing copier and scanner technology, you may find that a copy can be made without the hidden message appearing. This feature system done not work 100% of the time on 100% of the copiers.

Micro Word are a series of small words prints across the sheet. Because the letters are so small, microprinted words are hard to replicate. This can be a single line or a series of lines repeated down the entire sheet. When viewed in its entirety, the lines appear as a distinct background. These lines of text may be printed on the front or back of the sheet.

Color Change Security Technology are printed words or shaded area that disappear briefly when touched or rubbed. The heat from rubbing causes the word to disappear. It will reappear as the heat dissipates.

Erasure Protection are special security colored ink used to print background color.  Should someone try to erase information printed on this document, the background ink will be erased along with the printed information. A white mark will remain indicating that the information has been changed.

UV security paper.  Invisible images are visible when viewed under black light.

Anti-copy coin rub are symbols and words hidden on the back of the sheet. Rub a coin or metal over the back of the sheet to view the symbols or words.

Security warning bands and/or boxes is  A visible Warning Band describes security features on the document. Normally Warning Bands describe the various Document Security Features incorporated in a specific document.

Security Border is a Visible Warning Band on the edge around the sheet describes security features on the document. Normally Warning Bands describe the various Document Security Features incorporated in a specific document.

Security box is A Warning Box on the back of the sheet contains a list of security features on the document. Normally Warning Bands describe the various Document Security Features incorporated in a specific document.
